About

Cardinal Management was established in 2015, to provide support and direction in times of need to people who have experienced trauma.

Via the Major Trauma Signposting Partnership (MTSP) Cardinal support eight NHS Major Trauma Centres to help improve their levels of care and long term outcomes for patients, especially those suffering from significant injuries.  The MTSP provides free bedside advice and support to patients on all welfare issues, helping to reduce patient anxiety and stress at what is a very difficult time, for them and their families.

In 2022, Cardinal Management was acquired by Frenkel Topping Plc with whom the MTSP already worked via the Frenkel Topping Charitable Foundation to provide emergency financial support to trauma patients and their families.

Our values:

We believe in partnership working. Life is too short to be in conflict, especially if conflict wastes energy that could be better spent delivering results that will leave a lasting impression.

We have a passion for our subject – rehabilitation.  This has given us a deep understanding from a clinical, commercial and operational perspective.  Together, our knowledge and passion helps us innovate and solve seemingly intractable issues.  Put simply, our passion is to do things better.

But above all, we have the persistence to deliver.  It’s our perspiration and determination that ultimately delivers results.

Rehabilitation – Rehabilitation is the development, to the maximum degree possible, of an individual’s function and/or role, both mentally and physically, within their family and social networks, society and within the workplace where possible.

Every episode of “healthcare” should have a rehabilitation outcome.

Col. John Etherington, National Clinical Director for Rehabilitation, NHS England.
